This card reader uses 6-pin IEEE1394a interface,compatible with the 6-pin FireWire/FireWire-400(IEEE1394/IEEE1394a) iLink port.
You can use this reader with a Firewire 800 port if you have a 9pin to 6pin cable or adapter.
